纽约市(New York City)大都会艺术博物馆俗称“大都会博物馆”(The Metropolitan Museum)，是美国最大的艺术博物馆。

　　纽约大都会博物馆(The Metropolitan Museum of Art)是美国最大的博物馆，与英国伦敦的大英博物馆、法国巴黎的卢浮宫、俄罗斯圣彼得堡艾尔米塔什（冬宫），中国北京故宫博物馆齐名的世界五大博物馆馆之一。建于1880年，早在1866年J.杰伊建议成立国家博物馆和美术馆，并组织了委员会进行筹建。
